Episode 97: Learning From Your Heroes with Jason Collett

After being an early part of the world-renowned Bell’s Brewery and consulting for the largest beer companies in America, Jason Collet brought his 20+ years of expertise in craft beer to Old Town Rock Hill with Rock HIll Brewing Company. We talk to Jason about the wide-ranging and obscure places he’s taken his life, both in interests and travel and how he landed on an idea to find his defining life’s focus. Jason went on a journey to reach out to every person he regarded as having succeeded with ambitious goals. This path inevitably lead to him meeting the ones who inspired those people, including Wayne Gretsky.

Jason also talks about his vision for Rock Hill Brewing, making a communal space for people to meet and act as a hub for the vitality of Old Town Rock Hill. He’ll also talk about winning 5 awards in their first year submitting to the South Carolina Brewers Guild Competition.

After earning degrees from Western Michigan University, Davenport University, Michigan State, and a Master’s from Columbia University, NYC, Jason went on to hold high-ranking roles at Bank of AMerica and Honeywell, in addition to being CEO of ARCpoint Labs locally, and Senior HR Director of Fort Mill’s Domtar.
