We talk to filmmaker Ben Sliker about growing up in a small town in Wisconsin and how the community he grew up in informed the way he approaches movies. We discuss his experiences with the world of corporate production work at Fox Sports and the value of a positive attitude in fluctuating job situations. We talk about dealing with the overwhelming odds of making it as a filmmaker and the inspiration that makes it worth it.

Ben received A Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts from The University of Wisconsin – Madison. He was Senior Editor for Fox Sports until walking away to commit full time to his own production company. His short films have garnered awards all over the country and he continues the rare practice of producing personal, narrative work directly alongside his commercial projects.
