We talk to agribusiness developers Ben Boyles and Will Culler about the state of agriculture, exploring how it impacts everything from our national economy to our everyday lives in Rock Hill. They explain how they’re working toward progress in developing programs that enhance the lives and economic well-being of local citizens and communities through education and opportunity. They also talk about the exciting ways they’re merging agriculture and tourism in South Carolina. Will and Ben are devoted to educating people about agriculture and helping communities recover from food deserts, urban areas in which it is difficult to buy affordable or good-quality fresh food.

Ben received an MCRP in City and Regional Planning from Applied Economics from Clemson University in 2004 and a B.S. in Agricultural from Clemson University in 2006.

Will received a B.S. Agriculture and Applied Economics from Clemson University in 1995 and a

M.S. in Agribusiness from S.C. State University in 1998. He’s currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management  at Clemson University in progress.
