Episode 115 – People-Centered Politics with Heath Sessions

We sit down with South Carolina Representative and Pints and Politics host, Heath Sessions for a wide-ranging chat about small-town life, state politics, and healthcare reform. Sessions shares how he stumbled into public service, his fight for fiscal responsibility and medical transparency, and his belief that politics should be about people, not parties. It’s a grounded, thoughtful conversation that swings from tax policy to mental health to movie theaters in Rock Hill.

Heath Sessions earned his B.A. from the University of South Carolina in 2004. After graduating, he built a career in the land-clearing and construction industry, eventually becoming Vice President of a Rock Hill-based contractor. In 2022, he was elected as a Republican representative for South Carolina’s 46th District in York County. He lives in Rock Hill with his wife Kristin and their three children—Emma, Ben, and Asher—and remains active in his church and local community boards
