In 2008, Keith Smith was laid off from his corporate job. Rather than joining the millions replacing that kind of work in The Great Recession, he decided to start over. He leaned on his own skill as a landscaper and started his own business. It’s a gamble that’s rewarded Keith with a life he’s grateful for. Keith has been happily married for fifteen years. His wife and two sons open their home to international students in Winthrop’s international program. He’ll tell us about his faith and lifelong appreciation for the feel of Old Town Rock Hill. He’ll also talk about his perspective on the current state and future of small town USA.
